The workshop "Financial management and accounting" was held on April 29 and 30 in the Business Center. The lecturer at the workshop was Sandra Đurović, a professor in the field of entrepreneurship and business at the Faculty of Business Economics and Law.

At the beginning of the workshop, the participants presented their business ideas, followed by a story about financial management and accounting issues that they will encounter in business.
It was considered what makes up the property of the company, how to calculate income and expenses in business and how to make a profit. Participants were educated on how to prepare a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement for the purposes of a business plan. And then it was considered how to manage finances and maintain communication with the accounting agency in order to comply with legal obligations.

The workshop was attended by nine participants who listened very carefully to the advice and learned the basics of financial management.

It is planned to hold 2 more workshops.  Each one aims to empower the participants to start their own business. After the workshops, the participants will be educated about possible ways of financing business ideas, as well as how to present a business idea to potential financiers. In parallel, there is support from the mentor for the business plan and all questions related to future business.
At the end, the 5 holders of the best business plans will receive grants to support businesses in the amount of up to 3000 euros.

The workshops are part of the project 'Skills for sustainable employment, inclusive economic growth of the cross-border area of Albania and Montenegro - Skills for work Albania-Montenegro'. The project is supported by the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Montenegro - Albania 2014-2020 through the instrument of pre-accession assistance (IPA II).
