RESULTS OF A PUBLIC CALL TO UNEMPLOYED YOUNG PERSONS (15-29 YEARS OLD) AND WOMEN FOR SUPPORT IN STARTING THEIR OWN BUSINESS.

 

Business start-up center Bar for the needs of the project 'Skills for Sustainable Employment and Inclusive Economic Growth of Cross-Border Region of Albania and Montenegro - Skills for Jobs Albania - Montenegro' announced: Public call for unemployed young people (15-29 years old) and to women for support in starting their own business. The target group is unemployed young people (15-29 years old) and women from the municipalities: Podgorica, Tuzi, Danilovgrad, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj and Cetinje, who lack practical knowledge and skills to become competitive on the labor market.

Support included:

I Training on entrepreneurial skills for 15 participants on the topic:

a) Business-legal issues and business registration

b) Financial management and accounting

c) Strategic planning and business model

d) Marketing and sales 

e) Digital/content marketing

II Mentoring support, the purpose of which was for participants to develop quality business plans after the training and acquire the necessary knowledge to start their own business.

III Grant, which includes non-refundable financial support in the amount of a maximum of 3,000 euros per participant for starting a business, i.e. to cover the costs of business registration, purchase of necessary equipment and/or consulting services.

Out of a total of 15 participants, the grant should have been awarded to 5 participants whose business plans were rated the best by the independent commission.

Preference was given to candidates who were not previously supported within the same project. Candidates intending to establish a business in the following areas were also given preference: tourism and catering, gastronomy, traditional crafts and information and communication technologies.

The deadline for submitting business plans was June 18, 2024, and 9 business plans were submitted by email within the deadline, namely:

1. 'Adventure Dream' SeaView - Glamp - Social - tourist complex with adventure content - Ana Unkašević

2. 'Rent a car' service with driver/guide - Antoneta Pepđonović

3. 'Fokus centar' - private school for language classes, natural sciences and preparing students for external knowledge testing and matriculation exams - Aleksandra Bošković

4. 'Salvage' - making souvenirs and useful items from composted coffee grounds - Marko Milačić

5. 'Domaći spajz' - home food store - Ana Đikanović

6. Photo studio with a specific focus on tourism and services and the technology of professional photography without a photographer - Anđela Knežević

7. 'Cocktail To Go' beach stand 'Bikini Martini' - Anđela Prodanović

8. 'Baby's trail' - childcare and educational workshops on childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding

9. 'Balance and body care' - massage services - Mirela Vulević

 

The presentation of the applicants' business ideas before the committee was organized on July 2, 2024.

Below is a list of the 5 best rated business plans:

Given that the total amount of funds requested by the above-mentioned 5 applicants is less than the total determined amount of funds for support in budget line 6.2.4. Awards for best business ideas/models, and in view of the Commission's assessment that the next three business plans according to the ranking list satisfy the grant support, the final table of business plans supported through the project is given below:

Anđela Prodanović's business plan 'Cocktail To Go' beach stand 'Bikini Martini' was not approved for support because she achieved less than 50 points, more precisely 42.75.
