The project “Skills for Sustainable Employment and Inclusive Economic Growth of Cross-Border Region of Albania and Montenegro – Skills for Jobs Albania – Montenegro” is a project funded by the European Union from the “Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro – Albania 2014-2020, through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II).
The implementation of this project started in February 2023 and will last until January 2025.
The implementing parties of the project are: Non-profit organization in Montenegro, Foundation Business Start-Up Centre Bar (leading/coordinating partner), Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (partner), Albanian Investment Development Agency (partner) and non-profit organization based in the city of Shkodra “Go2 Albania Organization” (associated partner).
The main objective of this project is to promote employment and social inclusion by facilitating the entry into the labour market for young people and women in the cross-border areas of Albania and Montenegro. The target group includes job seekers with low and medium levels of education, low qualifications and skills that do not match the demand of the labour market, young people (age 15 to 29) and women seeking employment.
AIDA is the focal point of all activities that will be carried out in Albania, from the identification and coordination of participants in training and mentoring, as well as employers and businesses that will be involved in this project.
The activities included in the implementation of this project will be carried out between Albania (Municipality of Shkodër, Municipality of Vau i Dejës, Municipality of Malesia e Madhe) and Montenegro (Podgorica, Tuz, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj, Danilovgrad and Cetinje).
